Product Description: “Because I could not stop for death” by Emily Dickinson. The print is created using high quality fade-resistant pigment-based inks in the traditional turn of the century typewriter style. The print paper is aged by hand through our own multi-staged process. 

Please note, the pictures are taken without glass in the frame so you can pick up on the detail, but be assured glass is included. (Keep in mind, each print might look a little different since each print is made to order.)

  • The Frost: Hand-aged print mounted in an 8 x 10 rustic wood frame surrounded by a hand-twisted copper wire tree. (Copper has patina finish).
  • The Hemingway: Hand-aged 11 x 14 print mounted in a minimalistic rustic wood frame. 
  • The Thoreau: Hand-aged 8.5 x 11 print suspended in between two sheets of glass and framed in minimalistic rustic wood.

    "Because I could not stop for Death –
    He kindly stopped for me –
    The Carriage held but just Ourselves –
    And Immortality.

    We slowly drove – He knew no haste
    And I had put away
    My labor and my leisure too,
    For His Civility –

    We passed the School, where Children strove
    At Recess – in the Ring –
    We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain –
    We passed the Setting Sun –

    Or rather – He passed Us –
    The Dews drew quivering and Chill –
    For only Gossamer, my Gown –
    My Tippet – only Tulle –

    We paused before a House that seemed
    A Swelling of the Ground –
    The Roof was scarcely visible –
    The Cornice – in the Ground –

    Since then – 'tis Centuries – and yet
    Feels shorter than the Day
    I first surmised the Horses' Heads
    Were toward Eternity –"
